Yeah, I just recently started using pens and ink myself this year. It's amazing how awesome a line you can make with a 0.1mm pen. Definatley worth the $10 for the pack I got that had it. They definatley take some practice though. If you press too hard the ink won't come out and may even break the tip of the pen.
You pretty much only need three tools after you're done with your sketch. A pack of really fine line markers. The pack I got was $10 at Staples and came with 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, and 0.8mm sized pens. Then get a White-out strip pen. The kind that you can just press and it unrolls a strip of "white out." And a good soft eraser. Get a decent quality one too otherwise it'll smear and press the lead into the paper.
My girlfriend taught this technique to me. Just lightly sketch your pic. Don't press too hard with the pencil or it'll be difficult to erase. Then just start inking with the 0.1 or 0.3. If you make a mistake, erase the pencil around the mistake and then add whiteout strip. (If you don't erase you'll get a lot of pencil lead smeared onto the whiteout)
When you're finally done, go and scan it. Now goto your levels and select the black dropper tool in your levels box. This sets your black lines to a certain darkness. Then selectt he white dropper. This sets your whiteness. Go over a spot that has some annoying pencil, or whiteout and click on the pencil. Bam! Perfect and clear black and white lineart ready to color. If it's too stubborn then you may have to just manually erase it.
Probably not Well, unless I come up with something nifty in my mind.
The main drive behind these pics is when I finally color them I'm going to resize them and turn them into icons like the VOOT and Force Sd's at Uomachi's page. [link]
I wanted to make VOOM sd icons because I haven't really seen any VOOM sd artwork except for a few sketches here and there and some various 3D pics.
But I will be drawing an SD Ajim, iDorkas, and Apharmd the Hatter as my goal is to just draw whatever VR's they haven't.
When is enough enough... What difference does it make when popular artist vent vent vent and support a site that tolerates deviant behaviour. HA! no wonder its all in a name.

Hope that helps. ^^

I'll be looking forward to that.
